Seeing headlines today- from newspapers I have some respect for- sadly not telling the full story about the ceasefire situation. Israel broke the conditions of the ceasefire from day one but even seemingly respectable news outlets are just parroting thalle hasbara ie Hamas is refusing to release hostages.
It makes me wonder what leverage Israel has on all these news outlets? I can only assume it’s lobbying and money based on what I know from documentaries about the Israeli lobbyists.
If you’re genuinely looking for independent journalism, I would suggest subscribing to people like Jonathan Cook and outlets like Dropsite News. I’m not saying the ‘legacy media’ lies but they clearly have conflicts of interest and at times, a complete morality deficit.
